1525.000.00 THE REPATRIATE PROGRAM

A Repatriate is defined as a United States citizen or dependent of a United States citizen who is returned from a foreign country; identified by the United States Department of State as have returned or been brought from a foreign country because of the destitution of the United States citizen or the illness of the citizen or his dependents, or because of war, or threat of invasion or similar crisis; and without resources to meet their needs.

Some of these repatriates may have refugees as dependents.  Under no circumstances is assistance for repatriates or their dependents initiated at the county office level.  If such assistance is to be provided, the State Office will contact the county office to make the necessary plans.  At that time, instructions will be given.
