Participants eligible for BP will receive payment from the date of application. The amount of payment for the month of application will be based on the number of days from the date of application (including the date of application) through the end of the month. For months of application of July 2016 and later, after determining the number of days for which a payment will be made for the month of application, use the amount next to the number of days in the following table as the amount of payment.

EXAMPLE: Mr. Smith applies for BP on July 28, 2017. The Eligibility Specialist completes the approval on August 3, 2017. Mr. Smith is eligible for a BP payment of $95 for four days of July. Since the approval is after the payroll closing date for August, the July payment will be combined with the full monthly payment for August. Mr. Smith's first BP will be $833 ($95 from the table for July + $738 for August).
