Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT)

PURPOSE:   This pamphlet serves as a training tool for EBT cardholders. The pamphlet is given to applicants and alternate payees to explain what EBT is and how to use the EBT card.

Number of Copies and Distribution: Each EU/authorized representative is to be given a copy of the pamphlet at each food stamp and Temporary Assistance application.

Description:  The pamphlet includes the following information:

• Frequently Asked Questions;
• instructions on using the card at an ATM;
• instructions on using the card at a POS terminal;
• security and care of the PIN;
• instructions for checking EBT card and benefits on the Internet; and
• provides the customer service number.
